SERVICES
The services Baigent Geosciences offers
are in two areas of interest, Airborne Geophysics (magnetics and radiometrics)
, and Ground Geophysics.
Airborne Geophysics
Airborne geophysical data products are by
geophysicists for mineral and gas exploration for soil mapping. Data processing
is performed on raw airborne data in order to produce maps and images for
further analysis and geological modeling.
Airborne geophysical services offered by
the company fall into the three areas of data processing, survey quality
control, and survey design.
The companies’ staff is experienced in
all aspects of airborne geophysics and provides the highest standard of service
to the client.
All standard geophysical data products are
available.
Data processing has been streamlined to
maximise throughput while retaining the best quality.
Baigent Geosciences has a wide experience
in the area of survey quality control. The quality control service has been
used by both Australian state bodies and private companies.
Ground Geophysics
Baigent Geosciences acquires and processes Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Radiometric data primarily for the purpose of soil mapping and soil classification.
The soil depth and soil structure
information is obtained from the GPR data, whereas the soil type classification
is obtained from the radiometric data. This data may be used in precision
viticulture or agriculture.
For example, viticulturists can use the
data products produced to evaluate the potential of their land to produce
grapes, as tests have shown that there is a correlation between the Structural
Activity Value (SAV) and grape yield. (See example)
